phpBB Coder For Hire
So yes, I write phpBB MODs (code modifications). And I do it for money. Is that a problem?
Many folks suggest that anything related to software released under the GPL GNU license has to be free, and they could not be further from the truth. One only has to look at the current market capitalization for Red Hat to see that there is money (good money) to be made in open source software. MySQL too.
The best that I can explain it is this: GPL’d software is free as in free from restrictions. You are free to do whatever you want with the code, including modifying it and even selling it. But you must give your customers the same freedom that you have, that is, they must be free to do whatever they want to do with the software. It’s really that simple.
Free has nothing to do with free from payment, and everything to do with freedom from restrictive software licenses. That’s it.
Bottom line is this: if you can find someone that does what I do, and they do it for free, then use them! If you’re happy with their services, that’s great for everyone involved. If not, then perhaps you can give me a try and see what I can do for you. See if you don’t get what you pay for.

Given your skills, this may be too elementary for you, but if you’re still in business and open to a job, my group could use some help. We are simply moving our database from its old server to a new one. It should be easy, but we have not been able to get the backup to import successfully. Please email me asap if you think you’d be willing to help. Thanks!

Looking to hire a coder to make various mods.
Mods are related to attachment mod and abtrack mod
2 of the mods should be pretty easy, 2-3 are a little more extensive.
If you are an experienced phpbb modder and want to make some cash, I have an exact duplicate test board just waiting for you.
We have 22 days until launch and the mods needed are pretty essential,

Hi, Johnny Angel, and thank you for your comment. At this time I am not taking on any new projects, but thank you for your inquiry.

Hello, I have a very dynamic forum which has grown to 50,000 members in a few months. I have little to no coding knowledge an won’t trust just anyone with coding needs. I have some ideas for my forum to make the user experience much better but I don’t have the know how to do it. Can you help doc? Contact me to discuss how we can help each other please.

Hi, Joel, thank you for your inquiry. However, as I posted earlier I am not taking on any new clients at this time. I have two large projects currently underway and do not have the time to take on a third without jeopardizing the delivery dates for my existing work.
As a further issue, I checked out your board and you appear to be running phpBB3 at this time. I am not experienced enough in the coding for that version yet to be comfortable taking on a client on that platform. I don’t anticipate this changing until next year (2009). But thank you again for asking me, as I consider it an honor to be asked. I just don’t have the time and it would not be fair to you to present my situation otherwise.
