So today I visit my blog, and find this comment trapped in my spam catcher:

ice Site. Could use more of these instead of the many trash blogs on the web.

First off, you’ll notice that they dropped the “N” at the beginning of the comment. That’s a good indicator of a poorly coded posting bot, as they are apparently missing data for one of the fields. Or perhaps they’re being creative, trying to find a way to look more human. Or maybe it wasn’t a posting bot at all, but a real human making a real mistake.

So I did a google search for the text of the post. I figured if it was a legitimate comment, I would not find any other blog with exactly the same comment. Well, of course I did find some.

Into the spam bucket it goes.
