Comments (4) Page Permissions has been released. The first post in the development topic was made on Sat May 14, 2005 5:16 pm. The MOD was released Sat Jan 20, 2007. Hopefully it was worth the wait.

2 years of development is a lot! Glad to see that it’s finally released.

I took a few months off along the way. I was so pleased with the initial submission to the MOD Validator team, and it came back with more than a few required corrections. My attitude at the time was, “so what, it does exactly what I want it to do, I will just leave it at that.” And that’s exactly what I did for about seven months along the way.
Eventually I decided that I really wanted to get the MOD approved and took it back up again. That was late in the fall of 2006, and here in January it’s approved. And – as an added benefit – it’s in much better shape now than it ever was before, including a fix for a rather nasty security hole. So it all came out in the end.
Now I’ve started a complementary MOD for this that – based on what I learned while writing this one – should not take two years to complete.
