		<description>Thanks for the info. I inspected the motherboard and figured out that the center pin is positive (which is commonly the case but the consequence of getting wrong are disastrous) and the device is working fine. Thanks again for your time.</description>

Last time I checked you could get replacement power supplies from the vendor, so if you would prefer to have the &quot;correct&quot; equipment you probably can order one. I think it was about $50 or so.</description>

I have a Snapserver 2200 less the power supply. I see it takes 12 VDC through a coaxial power jack but is the center pin positive or negative? If you know, I&#039;d appreciate a clue! (The power supply may indicate which polarity is in use: look for a C with a dot in the middle. There will be an indication of whether the dot (representing the center pin of the connector) is positive or negative. Thanks for any information you can share.</description>
