Bertie Watch 3.0 is Over! Here’s the scene from my house for the past few days…

Today, when I wasn’t looking, the postman dropped off a box.

Bertie 1: What could it be?
Bertie 2: Let’s go out in the garage and figure out how to open the box.

Bertie 1: Can we use this?
Bertie 2, No, no way.

Bertie 1: How about this?
Bertie 2: Um. No.

Bertie 1: Okay, let’s sneak inside and go into the kitchen and see what we can get into…
Bertie 2: I like knives, they’re shiny…

At this point I caught them whispering (the kitchen is next to my home office) and even though they suggested a smaller knife…

… I wasn’t going to go for it Yet when I suggested a small plastic knife, I got this reaction:

Sorry, <ahem>, had to black out some of the fingers. Anyway, if that reaction wasn’t completely clear it was followed up by this:

So I guess the plastic knife idea was out. Anyway, after further discussion, we managed to agree on how to release their new cousin:

Bertie 3: Whoa, it’s hot in Texas, I’m ditching this coat right away…

Bertie 2: Hey, cool! Check out the new tag!

Bertie 1: Check out mine, what does it say?
Bertie 2: Did you just ask me to look at your butt?
Bertie 1: No, just the tag, what does it say?
Bertie 2: It says, “Channel Island Toys”
Bertie 1: Bummer
Bertie 3: Cool

Bertie 3: I’m hungry, it was a long flight from Hong Kong
Bertie 2: We get cookies…
Bertie 1: … and Milk!
Bertie 3: Where’s the beer?
